We’re excited to work with you and introduce your business to our digital banking experience. In this article, we will cover the first six steps for getting started with your new business bank account. Step 1: Sign Up for Online Banking

As a digital bank, online banking is the lifeblood of what we do here at Axos Bank. We pride ourselves in maintaining a convenient, easy-to-use system that you can connect to via any internet-accessible location. This, in turn, allows you to stay on top of your business’s finances at all times – whether you’re at the office, at home, or traveling across the globe.

To get started with online banking, check your email inbox for a welcome email.

It should look similar to this:

Within the email, select the Click here to establish your credentials link, which will redirect you to the online banking registration page. There, you will create a username and password for your account.

Once you are registered, you can access your online bank account by doing the following:

  1. Go to www.AxosBank.com.
  2. Click the Sign In button at the upper-right corner.
  3. Select Business Banking from the drop-down menu.

Then, enter your login credentials to sign in.

Step 2: Download the Mobile App

The Axos Business mobile app is designed to help you manage your business's funds while you're on the go. You can use the mobile app on iOS or Android Devices.

To download the mobile app:

After you download the app, you can log in using the credentials you created in Step 1. Once you are logged in, we invite you to take advantage of all of our mobile banking features, including:

  • Mobile check deposits
  • Analyzing your cash flow
  • Transferring funds between accounts
  • Contacting the Support Team

Step 3: Add Funds to Your Account

Adding funds to your Axos Small Business account is simple! You can chose one of three different options to deposit funds:

  • Use the mobile banking app to deposit a check
  • Initiate a wire transfer
  • Mail a check to Axos Bank

Option 1: Deposit a Check via Mobile Banking

  1. Download the Axos Business mobile app following the instructions in Step 2.
  2. Use an existing check or write a new one. Confirm that the check exactly matches your business name as registered with Axos Bank. Endorse the check by signing the back.
  3. Open the Axos Business mobile app and select [email protected].
  4. Select the + button on the [email protected] screen’s lower right-hand corner.
  5. Use the app to take a photo of the front and back of the check. Then, complete the check information fields.
  6. Select Deposit to complete the check deposit.

Once you finish depositing your check, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will also contain information about your check’s hold time, which is the amount of time we retain the check funds before it is fully made available to you.

Option 2: Initiate a Wire Transfer

  1. Download the Wire Request Form from the Business Forms & Documents page.
  2. Arrange a wire transfer from the bank you wish to transfer funds from.
  3. Use the following information to complete the transfer:

    For the benefit of: [Your Company Name], Account No: [Your Account Number]

Please note that our cut-off for processing same-day wire transfers is 1:00 PM PT.

Option 3: Mail a Check to Axos Bank

  1. Use an existsing check or write a new from our current bank.
  2. Before sending the check, make sure that the name on the check matches your business name as registered with our bank. Be sure to endorse the check by signing the back.
  3. Mail the check to:

Step 4: Visit an ATM

If you are an Axos Bank Business Checking client, you have access to a surcharge-free network of ATMs, nationwide. This means that you may use your Axos Bank Visa® debit card at any ATM within the United States. Should you incur an ATM fee, we will reimburse your fees within 3-4 business days.

Once your business account is funded, you will typically receive your Axos Visa debit card within 7-10 business days.

Step 5: Pay Your Bills

Never miss a bill payment again! With Bill Pay, you can automate the bill payment process by setting up payees and scheduling automatic payments. Whether your desired bill payee is a company, individual, or financial institution, our Bill Pay system will ensure your payments get to the right place.

To set up a bill payee:

  1. Use your PC to log into online banking. (At this time, Bill Pay is not available via the Axos Business mobile app.)
  2. Click the Bill Pay tab from the upper left-hannd corner of your screen.
  3. If this is your first time setting up a bill payment, you will need to set up your challenge prompts and security key. This adds an extra layer of security to ensure that each new payee is authorized.
  4. Next, click the "Payees" tab on the Bill Pay dashboard.
  5. Select the "Add a Payee" button.
  6. You have three options when adding a payee:
    • Company
    • Individual
    • Bank or Credit Union

    Payments to a bank or credit union will be sent electronically. Payments to companies and individuals will be sent via check. For this demonstration, we will walk-through how to send a payment to company.

  7. Enter all of the information in the required fields. Once you are done, click "Submit Payee."
    1. Once you are finished adding your payee, you will need to activate it to send payments. To do so, click the Payees tab, then select Payees Awaiting Activation in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
    2. Then, click the Activate link that is located to the right of your payee.
  8. Select which method you prefer to receive your activation code, and once you receive the code, enter it into the appropriate field:

To schedule a single payment:

  1. Within the Bill Pay section, select the Payments tab, then Single Payment. Then, choose to make a bill payment, an individual payment, or a tax payment. For this example, we will demonstrate how to make a bill payment.
  2. Scroll down the Payee List until you find your desired payee. Then, select the payee.
  3. On the next screen, select your account, enter the bill amount, then enter the date you wish the payment to be processed. Be sure to take note of the estimated arrival date. Once you're done, click Submit.

To schedule a recurring payment:

  1. Within the Bill Pay section, select the Payments tab, then select Recurring Payment. Then, select a bill payment or an individual payment. For this example, we will demonstrate how to make a bill payment.
  2. Scroll down the Payee List until you find your desired payee. Then, select the payee
  3. On the next screen, enter the amount you wish to pay, the frequency and (optional) the recurring payment's end date. Be sure to note your preference for when your bill payment date falls on a holiday.

Finally, click Submit to finish scheduling your recurring payment.

Step 6: Send a Wire

To send a outbound wire,

  1. Complete a Wire form here. Outbound wires must be to a credit of the Axos Bank account holder.
  2. Send your Wire Form via:

The cut-off time for sending a domestic wire is 1:00 P.M. (PT); the cut-off for sending an international wire is 12:00 P.M. (PT).

To recieve an incoming wire,

  1. Give the following information to the wire grantor:

  3. Address:

    Axos Bank

    San Diego, CA 92122

  4. Be sure that the incoming wire is sent to your business name and account number at Axos Bank.

The cut-off time for same-da wire processing is 1:00 P.M. (PT).
