Refer a Friend Program Master Terms & Conditions
To be eligible to take part in the Axos Bank Refer a Friend Program, the “Friend” (the person being referred) must first provide their email address using the unique link provided by the “Advocate” (the person referring). Once that step is completed, the Friend must select an active product or service promotion that is included in the Refer a Friend Program and complete the required steps to receive the reward/bonus. Additionally, upon submitting their email address, the Friend will be presented with Axos Bank’s Privacy Notice prior to any collection or use of the Friend’s personal information.
When the Advocate shares their unique link with a Friend, the Friend will be directed to an Axos landing page where the Friend may separately and affirmatively consent to receive promotional messages about Axos’ products and services. Axos will not send marketing communications to a Friend absent the Friend’s own express consent. Friends and Advocates can opt out of Axos communications or change their communication preferences at any time. To protect the privacy of the Friend, information related to the steps required to prospect account information or eligibility is not, under any circumstances, permitted to be shared with the Advocate.
Minors and trusts cannot earn Refer a Friend promotional payouts as either the Advocate or Friend. Axos will verify the age of all program participants at enrollment and reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein.
Unless expressly stated otherwise under the rules of a special promotion, the Friend:
Is only eligible to take part in the Refer a Friend program if the Friend is new to Axos Bank and has never been the primary or joint owner or borrower on any Axos deposit account, loan, or invest account.
May only earn one Refer a Friend reward. If the Friend takes part in multiple Refer a Friend promotions, the first promotion under which the Friend qualifies for the reward will be counted as the promotion that is eligible to be fulfilled/paid.
May only be eligible for one promotional reward per financial product/service category. If the Friend uses an active promotional code when opening a new product or service and is also eligible for a Refer a Friend promotion on the same product or service, the bank reserves the right to reward the customer the promotion that pays the richer of the two rewards. Regardless of which promotion the Friend is eligible to receive, the Advocate will be awarded solely based on whether the Friend meets the Refer a Friend promotional conditions and requirements and not based on the conditions and requirements associated with the promotional code.
Will receive cash-based bonuses into an open Axos liquid deposit account. If the account opened as part of the Refer a Friend promotion is an eligible liquid deposit account, that will be the account selected for payout. For promotions where the associated account is not an eligible liquid deposit account, the Friend must have a separate open Axos liquid deposit account in good standing to receive the bonus. Receipt of a bonus is conditioned upon the Friend maintaining an open, eligible liquid deposit account in good standing at the time of payout. If no such account is open and in good standing at the time of payout, the bonus will not be paid. This forfeiture condition does not apply where the account was closed by Axos through no fault of the Friend. Unless expressly stated otherwise under the rules of a special promotion, the Advocate:
Cannot refer themself.
Cannot be an employee of Axos Financial or its affiliates.
Will receive cash-based bonuses into an open Axos liquid deposit account. Receipt of a bonus is conditioned upon the Advocate maintaining an open liquid deposit account in good standing at the time of payout. If no such account is open and in good standing at the time of payout, the bonus will not be paid. This forfeiture condition does not apply where the account was closed by Axos through no fault of the Advocate.
Any monetary referral bonus may be taxable and reported on IRS Form 1099- MISC or 1099-INT. Consult your tax advisor. Any interest-based reward may be taxable and reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. Consult your tax advisor for guidance on your specific tax situation.
Axos reserves the right to review, investigate, and disqualify any Advocate or Friend from participation in the Axos Refer a Friend Program at any time, and reserves the right not to honor any referral or reward/bonus that in our sole discretion was solicited or earned in a manner inconsistent with the spirit, terms, or conditions of the Refer a Friend Program. This includes but is not limited to any attempt to defraud, deceive, or in any way abuse the program.
Refer a Friend promotions that are part of the Refer a Friend Program may include multiple products and services with different bonus amounts and requirements for each, and these promotions, bonus amounts, and requirements may be changed or discontinued at any time without notice; provided, however, that any such changes will apply only on a prospective basis and will not affect participants who have already completed all qualifying steps required to earn a reward prior to the effective date of any such change. Axos ONE Refer a Friend Promotion
An application for a new Axos Bank Axos ONE Checking and Savings account must be submitted by the “Friend” after providing their email address using the unique referral link provided by the “Advocate.”
You, the Friend, must be approved for your new Axos ONE Checking and Savings and fund either account within 60 days of account opening to avoid closure. A $50 bonus will be earned by the Friend and by the Advocate when a total of $1,500 has been received via Direct Deposit into the Friend’s eligible Axos ONE Checking account within the first 90 days after account opening.
A Direct Deposit is an electronic ACH deposit of your paycheck or government benefits, such as Social Security, Disability etc. International paychecks, international government benefits, other deposits (i.e., real time payments, online banking transfers, ATM and mobile check deposits, etc.) or person-to-person payments are not considered a Direct Deposit. Axos Checking Refer a Friend Promotion
An application for a new Axos Checking account must be submitted by the “Friend” after providing their email address using the unique referral link provided by the “Advocate.”
You, the Friend, must be approved for your new Axos Checking account and fund it within 60 days of account opening to avoid closure. A $100 bonus will be earned by the Friend and by the Advocate when a total of $1,500 has been received via Direct Deposit into the Friend’s eligible Axos Checking[BS5] account within the first 90 days after account opening.
A Direct Deposit is an electronic ACH deposit of your paycheck or government benefits, such as Social Security, Disability etc. International paychecks, international government benefits, other deposits (i.e., real time payments, online banking transfers, ATM and mobile check deposits, etc.) or person-to-person payments are not considered a Direct Deposit. Summit Savings Refer a Friend Promotion
An application for a new Axos Bank Summit Savings account must be submitted by the "Friend" after providing their email address using the unique referral link provided by the "Advocate."
You, the Friend, must be approved for your new Axos Bank Summit Savings account and fund it within 60 days of account opening to avoid closure. A $50 bonus will be earned by the Friend and by the Advocate when a deposit of at least $5,000 in new funds has been made into the Friend's eligible Summit Savings account and a monthly average balance of at least $5,000 is maintained for at least one full 30-day period within the first three months after funding. For purposes of this promotion, a “30-day period” means any consecutive 30-calendar-day period commencing on or after the date the account is first funded.
New Funds are defined as funds that did not originate from another Axos account. [BS6] [MI7] Account transactions may take one or more business days from the transaction date to post to the account.

Personal Loan Refer a Friend Promotion
An application for a new Axos Bank Personal Loan must be submitted by the "Friend" within 120 days of receiving the unique referral link provided by the "Advocate."
You, the Friend, must be approved for and receive disbursement of your new Axos Bank Personal Loan to be eligible. A $100 bonus will be earned by the Friend and by the Advocate when the Friend's Personal Loan has remained open and in good standing following the disbursement date, with no history of late payments, defaults or derogatory credit reporting associated with the loan.
To be eligible, the Advocate must be a current Axos Bank customer with an active liquid deposit account, and the Friend must have used the Advocate's unique referral link to submit their application. This promotion is not available to residents of Vermont or individuals who currently have or have previously held an Axos Bank Personal Loan.

Faster access to funds is based on a comparison of traditional banking policies and deposit of paper checks from employers and government agencies versus deposits made electronically. Direct Deposit and earlier availability of funds are subject to payer’s support of the feature and timing of payer’s funding.
Mortgage Refer a Friend Promotion
An application for a new Axos Bank Mortgage must be submitted by the "Friend" within 120 days of receiving the unique referral link provided by the "Advocate."
You, the Friend, must submit your mortgage application using the Advocate's unique referral link and have your loan funded within 30 days of application submission to be eligible. Eligible loan types include SFR Construction, SFR Fixed loans serviced for FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, or serviced until sale date, SFR Adjustable P&I (Serviced), and SFR Adjustable I/O (Serviced).
To be eligible, the Advocate must be a current Axos Bank customer with an active mortgage or personal loan account. Please note that no reward or benefit is paid to the Advocate for mortgage referrals. This promotion is not available to residents of Vermont or Axos Bank employees using an Axos email address. Referral links are intended for personal sharing with friends, family, and acquaintances. Distribution via paid advertising, automated tools, or bulk messaging is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
Upon satisfaction of the promotional requirements, the Friend will receive a $500 discount applied toward closing costs or mortgage fees associated with their new Axos Bank Mortgage. The discount will be reflected on the Closing Disclosure and applied at the time the loan is funded. Business Checking and Savings Promotions
To qualify for the $50, your friend must meet the following Refer-a-Friend requirements:
New to Axos Bank and has never been the primary or joint owner or borrower of any Axos deposit account, loan, or investment account.
Open a new Basic Business Checking or Business Premium Savings account using your unique referral link.
Basic Business Checking:

New funds deposit of at least $30,000 and maintain a minimum balance of $30,000 for 90 days after funding.
Approved account must be funded within 60 days of opening the new account.
There must be new funds to receive Refer-a-Friend credit. New Funds are defined as funds that did not originate from another Axos Bank account. A Direct Deposit is an electronic deposit of your paycheck or government benefits, such as Social Security or Disability. Other deposits (i.e., online banking transfers, ATM and mobile check deposits, etc.) or person-to-person payments are not considered a Direct Deposit. Account transactions may take one or more business days from the transaction date to post to the account.
The $50 Referral gift will be deposited into the Referrer’s open Axos liquid deposit account within 30 days once your referred friend meets all eligibility requirements. If no liquid deposit account is open and in good standing at the time of payout, the Referral gift may be forfeited. Refer-a-Friend gifts may be taxable as interest income and reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. Please consult your tax advisor.
The $50 Referred gift will be deposited into the Referred friend’s Basic Business Checking, Business Interest Checking, or Business Premium Savings account within 30 days of meeting all eligibility requirements. The Referred friend may only be eligible for one promotional reward per financial product/service category.
Customers will not earn a referral bonus if they refer themselves. Customers will not earn multiple bonuses if they open multiple accounts with Axos Bank. Customers will not earn a referral bonus if they are current employees of Axos Financial or its affiliates.
A referred friend will not earn a referral bonus if they have or had an existing funded Axos account, are declined, or do not use the unique referral link provided by the eligible referrer.
Axos Bank reserves the right to limit each customer to one new account-related gift incentive per calendar year. Account must remain open for 90 days or an early closure fee of $50 may apply.
