How to get a loan to build a house?

To get a construction loan, you’ll need a specialized lender and meet financial and project requirements. Here’s the process in five steps:

Work with an architect and a licensed, insured builder to finalize detailed blueprints, specifications, and a complete construction budget.
  • Get Your Project Pre-Qualified with Us

  • Apply for your Construction Loan
Submit your full loan application along with finalized plans, builder information, and financial documentation for underwriting review.
  • Loan Approval & Closing
Once underwriting conditions are satisfied, your loan is approved and closed, and construction funds are set up to be released in stages as work is completed.
  • Build & Transition to Permanent Financing
Construction funds are released in stages as work is completed, and once your home is finished, the loan transitions seamlessly into permanent financing so you can move in and enjoy your new home.
