Derrick K. Walsh

Derrick K. Walsh is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Axos Bank. Mr. Walsh joined Axos in 2013, served as the Chief Accounting Officer for over five years and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in September 2021. He brings extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and organizational leadership, having held a variety of accounting and finance positions at the Bank prior to becoming CFO.

Before joining Axos Bank, Mr. Walsh led the SEC & Regulatory Reporting department at LPL Financial, where he earned his Series 7, 27, and 66 licenses and was responsible for SEC and regulatory reporting, as well as certain management reporting and investor relations activities. Prior to his tenure at LPL, he served as a manager in public accounting, advising and auditing publicly traded companies and financial institutions.

Mr. Walsh is actively involved in non-profit organizations and is deeply committed to Alzheimer’s San Diego, where he has served on the finance committee since 2014.

Mr. Walsh is a licensed CPA in the state of California and holds an active Series 27 license. He graduated with a double major in accounting and business administration, with a concentration in finance, from the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond.
